Applying this label to cosmetic dentistry in particular is a little silly; most of these treatments don\u2019t penetrate any deeper than the surface of the tooth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fact is that just about any cosmetic treatment you could name\u2014teeth whitening, direct bonding, veneers\u2014are completely painless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Myth #2: You Need Braces to Straighten Teeth<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Both braces and clear aligners can help people to take crooked smiles and straighten them out, and clear aligners in particular can be incredibly helpful for adult patients who are interested in fixing misalignment without bulky wires or dietary restrictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, some people are put off by the year or so it will take to see results. Thankfully, orthodontia aren\u2019t the only way that you can straighten your teeth.
