Dr. Steve Cha
Settling down in the Dallas area in 2010, Dr. Cha’s 20+ years in dentistry have led him to become an experienced and reputable dentist near Melissa. His passion for helping patients and delivering 5-star service makes him a popular choice for residents who are looking for comprehensive, family-friendly dental care.
But before he started treating patients here in the Dallas area, Dr. Cha was born in South Korea before moving to Los Angeles when he was 12. Working as a mechanical drafting/designer for several years, he enjoyed using computer-aided design (CAD) and building prototypes for fabrication, but he realized that he needed more human interaction instead of being in front of a computer all day.
Considering a different career path, his friends who were in dental school suggested he look into the field as well. Realizing he could not only work with his hands but also build relationships with those seeking to improve their oral health, he decided to pursue dentistry and has never looked back.
Dr. Cha attended Loma Linda University School of Dentistry to earn his DDS degree. Since then, he has remained an avid learner, completing numerous continuing education courses – more than what is required by the state dental board.
He possesses certifications from the American Orthodontic Society and the Advanced Dental Implant Research & Education Center. He has completed courses through SPEAR Education and worked with pediatric dentists so that he can provide exceptional care to children.
Currently, Dr. Cha is a member of the American Dental Association and Texas Dental Association.
When he’s not busy transforming smiles at Lake Forest Dental, you’ll find him with his wife of 20+ years, their daughter and two sons, and their Shih Tzu/Yorkie mix, Romeo. Dr. Cha thoroughly enjoys photography and regularly takes photos of landscapes and cityscapes.
